Something like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. At least in the way it looks and with the GUI. Something that runs like Fallout when it comes to combat, with extra options for powers and suchlike that Fallout didn't really have.

Please sir may I have this? I've been very good this year. :D

Exactly.

I'd also like to see a real-time strategy game (better than dragonshard though)...

And... I don't know if anyone remembers Stronghold (1993), but I want a remake of that game. It was basically a D&D city builder where you could send your residents off to fight monster strongholds. (And you got to watch the combat).

I'd love a game with a full party and a turn based system, especially since my RPG experience until high school was games like Realmz and Exile, along with some Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.

OK, OK someone had to say it.

Not really.

It's awesome to see almost everyone voting for a turn-based game, which is what I've wanted from most of these titles. NWN and company have been kinda fun, but don't really feel like D&D as much as they could. The fast pace also means that you end up fighting a gazillion Orcs for 8 experience points each, which isn't nearly the same as a standard D&D game. The 4E rules have the potential to be interesting enough on their own to translate almost directly to a tactically-oriented computer game, but... it might not work out quite as well in practise as it does in theory.

Either way, I'm sure we'll all let out a collective groan when Bethesda announces its first real-time action/RPG based on the 4th edition rules.

I want real storywriting and dialogue, like NWN or Mass Effect

My lungs, they hurt.

That said, irregardless of how many of us want a true glorious turn based game, the video game market isn't open to games that don't suck these days ;). Afraid the twitch gamers are the ones being catered to nowadays.

Butterflies and puppies and rainbows and bunnies and kittens and my little ponies and little stars with smiling faces.

All of which you can set on fire.

What? I'm playing a warlock!

(Turn based. The movement rules etc will not translate well to real time IMO. )
