D&D (2024) What Licensed IP Do You Want For 5E?

As for properties I'd like to see get 5e versions: LoZ is definitely a big one, Castlevania is one that could he interesting to slip in as a ravenloft expansion with a new domain of dread though it would risk stepping on the toes of stradh a little, and maybe an elder scrolls setting. Though tbh I think all of these would be better adapted to pathfinder if we had to stick with a d20 system, as pathfinder classes are a lot more open with them being essentially just bundles of themed feats that you get to pick from as you level up instead of every rogue getting the exact same features at the exact same level like 5e does

I am excited about 5e Exodus arriving now. That covers my space opera fix: Killjoys, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Star Trek, etcetera.

I can use the Exodus mechanics for near-future too (super-tech modern): Humans, Orphan Black, Brave New World, Upload, etcetera.

I want something 5e superheroic: X-Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, Tomorrow People, Titans, Doom Patrol, Loki, Agatha All Along, etcetera.

I will check it out. − Oh wow, it is a full-on product!

For my near-future setting, I pretty much reflavor normal D&D spells as "tech". (Including some judicious selection for which spells are present in the setting. Teleportation isnt a thing, but the Astral Plane is virtual reality.)

But I havent explored the superhero genre, except as a notion that psionics can cover most of it.

Looking at previous licensed releases for D&D a few ideas came to me.
  • A Doctor Who Monstrous Compendium
  • An Adventure Time box set
  • A Legend of Zelda hardcover
  • A Dragon Ball hardcover
  • A World of Deltora’s Quest hardcover
  • A Quentaris Chronicles hardcover
Deltora’s Quest and Quentaris Chronicles are the ones I would want the most, but they’re also highly unlikely.

League of Legends, or more specifically, Arcane. I know someone started a 5E setting and you can find the PDF online with a google search but it was never finished or expanded.

That would be a great setting for some 5e support, but again I'd rather WotC stayed away from it.
