What makes the perfect movie for you?

I pay for one movie, around 12$, and then sneak into a second and maybe third movie. No one checks at the door of the of individual rooms, just at the main entrance.

$50 to watch a movie? How did it get so bad? Tickets here are about £10 for 2D (about $17), or a little more for 3D, which is bad enough. And I'm sure that when I went to see "The Wolverine" in Minnesota last year it was less than that (actually, I thought it was sub-$10, but I might be mis-remembering).

I wouldn't pay $50 to go see any movie, never mind one I wasn't sure would be good.
A typical theater around here charges about $13.00 (U.S) for a 2D movie. I just don't like going to the regular theaters. The theater I go to is a bit more expensive because of the amenities. You have to be 21 years or older to get in, except when they have some big movie kids are going to see in large numbers, in which case you can be younger and get in until 5:00 pm. You also get reserved seating, and the seats are much larger, and much more comfortable than regular theater seats. You can order food, and I mean real food, not the terrible stuff that passes off as food in a regular theater. You can order a nice meal and drink. They also serve alcohol.

Yeah, it's more expensive than going to a regular theater, but I am willing to pay more in order to avoid the annoyance of having to put up with kids, or people that are too immature to watch a movie without making phone calls or texting the entire time.

So does the $50 cover your food and drink, then, or is that just for the ticket?

that price is probably tied to the Spousal Cascade. Going to the film means bringing her (2 tickets) and buying a beverage/snack, etc. So yeah, having been hit by the high price of going to the movies, $50 is realistic if you are subject to external variables.

God no, I pay that much to avoid the kids. Not that I have any, but I'd like to avoid other people's kids as well.
