What monsters types have been done to death?

Contructs. Especially golems. I didn't realise that multiple selections were possible, otherwise I would have included humanoids and outsiders. I would include undead, but I love them so (though, really, they deserve to be included).

Oops, I forgot to vote Undead off the island. I'm sick of a new kind of undead for every kind of death. "Scrollgashers are undead created when a wizard dies of papercuts from reading a spellbook....Gluttonpires are people who were bitten by vampires while eating cake....Earbleeds are people who died from bad music..."

Yes definately the post of the day.

For me I picked the humanoids, Dragons, Abberants, Monsterous Humanoids, and Undead

Its not that you cant create more but I think you can be more origional than the artic dwarf or the desert halfling or the variant human, meh same stuff different abilities the book is still at least 24.95 or more.

Monstrous and not so monstrous humanoids. Just how many of these races are we meant to have? Lets go with more monstrous monsters rather than a host of new races.

Undead and outsiders here and I forgot to vote for humanoid. My big problem with outsiders is the concentration on fiends. There is an infinte number of planes, but the monster books concentrate on 2? And as for undead- I don't care much for them. Living things are so much more interesting to me; I think of undead as limited. That said, I do own a few things on undead (e.g. the Dread Codex) that will come in handy some day as even the limited have their uses.

Undead and constructs. Even in a magic-heavy world, I believe they should be encountered 1/10th as often as they are, and therefore I don't need 77 varieties of each. But looking at my shelf I see Draconomicon, Libris Mortis, Lords of Madness... How far away can Golems Galore be?
