D&D 5E (2014) what monsters create other monsters

I’ve been wanting to make an encounter with a Carrion Crawler mama and it’s babies in a nest. Eggs are laid within corpses. Just haven’t had time to nail down the details of CC babies.

The Legion of One, from the 3e Creature Catalogue 2 (IIRC) is a great big goblinoid that spawns tons of minion goblins.
