Bone hill, or the whispering hill as it is known by the locals, was at one time in its distant past a mountain. Hundreds of thousands of years of weathering have taken their toll on the once-great formation- the lofty peaks have been worn down by rain, snow, and wind. All that's left of the mountain's memory is a prominent hill which overlooks the surrounding lands.
The granite core of the mountain has likewise eroded, leaving behind large pillars of rock in strange formations. At a distance, their bleach-white surfaces resemble the shattered bones of a massive creature. At night, swift winds create eerie and chilling moans, howls and whispers as they pass between the remains of the mountain.
About two hundred years ago, settlers in the area constructed a castle from some of the granite blocks that cover the landscape- what were they defending against? Who knows... the castle was soon abandoned after its construction. Rumors of ghosts, malevolent forces and unseen invaders are common, but none know the true tale.
