What new Dungeon Tile sets would you like to see WotC produce?

Notes taken and will pass to R&D.

BTW Lost caverns of the underdak comes out in Novemebr and will be full of caverny goodness and if memory serves me has some lava sections.

I like the idea of ships and environments. A big temple/ziggurat set would be cool too. BTW these are my "wish list" thoughts and not stealthy brand manager spoilers of future sets...yet :p

The wilderness set was the first set of 'Dungeon' Tiles I got. Basically I'd be interested in tiles covering all of the terrain types:

Marshes,
Deserts,
Hills,
Mountains,
Forests

Since my campaign is set in a cold climate area, I could also use some tiles with snow/ice.

To be honest I've been a bit disappointed in the set, though. It looks like I'll have to buy at least another one to actually make use of it.
I found it quite annoying that none of the three sample sites can be created using a single set of tiles!

Scott - thanks for checking in. I love the Dungeon Tiles line and buy two or more of each set.

A few things I'd like to see for future sets:

DUNGEONS
* 5 foot wide corridor segments (perfect for labyrinths) - we hardly have any of these yet and some dungeons require a whole whack of 'em
* More angled sections (perhaps some at a 30/60 degree angle in addition to the 45 degrees we already have) - also some 45 degree sections that cut right down the diagonal corners
* Circular rooms (circular corridors would be very hard to do I suspect)

ENVIRONMENTS
* Wider river options (perhaps modular rivers that can be built to different widths - 2 by 8 shorelines that show just one side of the shore, then 2 by 8 all water sections)
* 45 degree turns for river segments
* Same for roads – either wider road options, or modular road options, and 45 degree turns
* Bridges
* Marsh/swamp
* Forests
* Mountain pass/cliffs/paths in mountainous terrain
* Winter terrain (snowy forests, icy rivers)
* Tree/vegetation growth markers
* Deserts

No comments on caverns yet - I'm looking forward to that installment. Extraplanar stuff would be good too.

Cave corridors would be great. It'd be neat to have some irregular-shaped one one side, straight on the other long pieces that could be laid next to a square bit to make a cave wall - I've got plenty of 20x20 and 40x40 bits that would become caves with just the addition of irregular walls.

Also second the desire for correctly angled 45 degree pieces - why do the ones in the third set not go from corner to corner?

I'd also like to see various decorations that can be placed on top of the existing pieces. One of the sets has bookcases, but that could have been easily done by laying down a normal floor piece and then putting a 5' wide bookcase overlay on top. Overlays will take less space and so give a wider variety for the same amount of cardboard. One set could include furniture, torture material, puddles, stalagmites, wagons, crates, etc.

Neverwinter Nights started with terrain tiles that included furniture, but designers eventually realised it was more flexible to make featureless tiles and add other stuff as placeables. Dungeon tiles would do well to go the same way.

While you're at it you might as well put in a fireball template and a cone of cold template and so on.

Good to see you around here Scott. I'm also glad to see that you are taking note of what people are asking for.
