What (non-RPG) web sites do you visit most often?

Remarkably similar to mine: Sluggy and CBSSportsline instead of ESPN.

I like the chats and general get most of my news on TV and only occasionally check for it online.

Plus my local papers - Philadelphia Inquirer

How is their content on the local pro teams, worth checking out?

I used to rely on ESPN.com for (American) sports but their site became really difficult ot load on my home computer, so I've gone elsewhere.

Probably the bloody plug-ins they use (which I don't have installed) and the flash, which is annoying, but is only on the main pages.

A question on www.gamespot.com: I used to visit that site very regularly but I havent' much for a while. I remember quite some time ago they tried to set up a memership fee that made it cost somethign to read the full game reviews. Did that die fairly quickly?

It lasted a while, but then that really only prevented access to their archives. They still have a membership of some kind, but I couldn't tell you what it gives you (maybe downloads). You still have free access to news, reviews, previews, and screenshots.

So if the Gamespot Complete is what ran you off, it's probably time to go back.
