Having posted upthread (in May 2010) that I'd never had a TPK, 11-ish years later I can report that my TPK count has since been raised to one (as of November 2010).
What happened next? Some of the players had other characters already booting around in the game world and we just built a new party around those; those players who didn't rolled up new ones to join them, and away we went on a different storyline.
The story of the TPKed group ended with it, which one of these years might have some ramifications elsewhere...or not, depending which twists and turns the stories of other parties might take in the still-active-today setting/campaign.
