What online store to buy from?

Well, I can only speak from personal experience. I ordered the BESM d20 deluxe edition from them and it arrived in about a week in perfect condition. I emailed them once about the order and they responded promptly within 24 hr. YMMV

I've ordered stuff from FRP (actually it was from eBay purchases) and never had any problem with them either.

Wow you guys & gal are all fantastic with the quick responses! If anyone is ever in NYC, feel free to drop me an email :)
I have been shopping at my local gaming store for the past 12-13 yrs but i have been feeling a bit put off by them recently. Thanks again!

What's your local gaming store? NG? Compleat Strategist? I can understand a bit about Compleat Strategist. Don't they realize most gamers are, well, ahem.. a bit overweight? I've seen people get stuck in the aisles there. :)

I've always had good experiences at NG though.

I've ordered several times from FRP Games and never have encountered a problem. Other online stores I've done business with have resulted in unexplainable delays in shipping, poor packaging, and damaged products upon delivery.

I'll stick to FRP Games and would recommend anyone else to do the same.

FRP Games is good.

ENWorld's RPG Store is good.

I have also had good success with d20books. He is very responsive. The biggest drawback is that he doesn't have a webstore with inventory. Still, if you send email, you will get a fast response. Or, if you use AIM, you can sometimes IM him.

All three places will take care of you.

I've ordered from FRP and my items arrived a bit dinged up. Not due to FRP, I'm sure, but apparently UPS dropped a package precisely on the corner. The box was pretty bunged up and I opened it expecting a real mess, but to my surprise, the books were only slightly bent on the corner that absorbed the blow. I considered emailing but only briefly considering the fact that by the time I am done with these books they'll doubtless look much worse with ALL the corners bent. All in all, they were very responsive, answered an email about my order and answered a subsequent email about a non order, just a question about their dice sizes. I'd order from FRP games again if the need arose.

Another vote for FRPGames. Fast, friendly service, and the books I've ordered from them have arrived in pristine condition (often far better than in many brick'n'mortar stores in which I've browsed).

Other online sources: buy.com (watch out for tax & shipping); eBay; half.com; amazon.com; overstock.com (be prepared to sift through an overwhelming number of non-gaming titles).
