Subject says it all...

I have a little dinky bit of money and want to purchase some D&D stuff.

What in your opinion should I as a DM buy as far as cheapo PDF books (Like $5.00 or under)

I already have my heart set on TT&F from Nat 20

I just got the elements of magic from nat20 2 nights ago..... it is quite good if you are a little tired of fire and forget magic or just wanna try some new kind of magic user. also, All the eldritch might books are good ....as well as the wild magic book from nat20 and tournaments taverns and fairs as you have mentioned...

If you're into Bards, grab the Enchiridion of Mystic Music. One of the few good Bardic resources out there for 3e.

Every since I got I've been touting Beyond Monks: the Art of the Fight.

Some really cool stuff in there,: monk feats, a new base class (martial artist), some prestige classes, and a lot of neat tricks for combats.

Worth getting.

PS

It depends upon what type of stuff you are looking for.

Beyond Monks and the Eldritch Might books are all more than $5.

For $5 or less there are a bunch of class, race, monster, and template books. There are also modules, name generators, building floorplans, spell effect diagrams, figure and clip art printouts which are more DM oriented.

I would also recommend lots of the free stuff such as Asgard magazine.

I have a new book like none other coming out (that I have seen) , its called
" Arcane Creations" coming out Dec. 12th RPGnow $5

It can be used for ANY game system and
save you tons of time and create a a visual organizational system for you and your players.

Blank illustrated Magic Item cards.

Both in Index and Buisness card size. The first volume is Misc. with all kinds including Weapons and clothing. The series will continue with specific Themes following this one. No OGL, no d20 constraints, just good art art a unlimited reproduction price.

Hope you dig it, visit our site and check it out. (its the the brown/gold icon on the left with the Chic & Bow)

I strongly recommend City Guide and City Guide: Coffer of Coins. Both are full of businesses and npc's you can easily drop into your campaign. The flavor is excellent. You'll need to modify some a bit, for flavor or background, but these two pdf's have saved me a ton of time (and given me a number of good plot hooks).

GM Mastery: NPC Essentials is an excellent primer on designing and (more importantly) using npc's in your campaign. Besides some good ideas for plot hooks, there is an entire section on how to introduce and roleplay the npc's so that they will be memorable to your players. Fair warning: there's a lot of material in this one, so it will take a while to read and absorb.

If you're looking for adventures, consider the WOTC site. They have 20-30 free adventures available for download, for a variety of levels. All are short and most can be dropped into a campaign with minimal tweaking. If you want more, subscribe to Dungeon magazine. I know it's not a pdf, but it's still the best value for your dollar when it comes to adventures.

Well I find the PDFs from Malhavoc are nice, even if they run a little high some times. (Certainly Banewarrens isn't 5 dollars). It depends on your own personal spending limit I say. Plus what you want. I mean I know the BoEM books will be in print as well as PDF. But I would like to see Book of Hallowed Might in PDF to judge if I want it in my print collection.
