The best booths go to:

- Green Ronin and Bastion Press - the concept of two companies working together to put out a product (ie the Dwarves and Giants) is great. I cant wait until the elves and orc books are out. Also the Mutants and masterminds look great.

I thank you for the compliment (I hope) but it is not Bastion Press that did the Giants book (or the Elf book either ) it was the invisible D20 company

Paradigm Concepts

Guys who bring you Arcanis and Spell Decks and lots of other D20 goodness

Forged in Magic is a cool book too. I have been reading it and love it. At first I thought it was done by Mongoose but then the invisible ink revealed the Paradigm logo! Good job guys!

Speaking of good jobs, Giant Monster Rampage. Great one, Mystic Eye. Watching while I was demoing Campaign Suite to see people hooting and hollering and smashing and complaining about the tar pit ... Sounded like a lot of fun, and THAT is what games are about.

But ya know, a team-up of Green Ronin, Paradigm, and Bastion doesn't sound half bad.... :P

Eric and Hal,

Thanks Guys! We appreciate the compliments. Eric, I am enjoying working through the spelldeck. I have not yet read Forged in Magic, but I am really looking forward to it. Hal, I started The Hunt Rise of Evil last night and I am very impressed. What an interesting setting-- the ebst use of dreams yet.

As I go over many of the books I've gotten - from GenCon, from RPGNow, from wherever I go - I get very in depth into them because I'm always looking for ways to make it work in Campaign Suite and how to make it work with existing rules that I've found.

I'm reaching a point now where I see, say, a rule on the dream world in occult lore and how it has a 'wild' affect on magic, or the strange Geomantic magic zones in the same book ... And then I compare it to the rules presented in Wild Spellcraft, and how much more in depth they go in terms of wild magic - obviously, because that's what the book is dedicated to.

Or, I see how a Prestige Class in Librum Equitis lends itself perfectly to an undead Mystic Eye Games' Nightmares & Dreams.

The point I'm making here, anyway, is that I think in a LOT of places colaberative works could be VERY possible, as what one person works on in detail and has others being sketchy, someone else fleshes out the details and leaves the other bits sketchy.

"The Librum of Dreams" could feature dreaming rules from Occult Lore, dream creatures from Nightmares & Dreams, and wild magic from Wild SPellcraft.

Just some random thoughts anyway;)

Publishers posting

I hope I do not offend anyone with the following post, but am sure I will. I think that asking publishers to nominate favorite products or rate other companies releases is problematic. Its like asking someone to tell a good friend their product sucks if you don' mention it.

Me personally though - my favorite product was not even a d20 item. It was Brom's dark age mini game. That is a good game folks, very very very good. But i like mini games/tactics/etc.

As for d20. It is impossible for me to say because I have not had a chance to read a single item i picked up at gen con. Its too much stuff to go through and I care not to judge an item until I have read it, played it, and recieved player responce from it. Can't do it. Sorry!!!

- If you have a product why do you charge full price for it. You are compeating with other companies. Make me want to buy your product over someone else's.

We make people want to buy our products by having top-quality art and great content.

If I were to discount my product at GenCon, I would be saying that my product isn't worth full price. When it is worth every penny and more. Much like most adventure game products, Paradigm products are tremendously underpriced when viewed against any other form of entertainment.

Also, I would be undercutting my retailers, which are a very important body of folks as far as I am concerned.

He is absolutely correct, I would not like to undercut my retailers, they are the backbone of how our products get to you....you try to make everyone happy, it is hard.
