What races do you allow in your Eberron campaign?

Core Eberron and PHB races, with the addition of goblinoids, orcs and kenku (from MMIII). I recently let a player play a githzerai, but this was predominately to keep him from going for the half-dragon changeling that was his other idea.

Demiurge out.

For simplicity's sake, when I run The Forgotten Forge I will allow the standard Player's Handbook races and the native Eberron races, minus the kalashtar.

When we started the Eberron game, I allowed only the races listed in the ECS (which, of course, included the PHB races).

However, now that everyone's gotten a feel for the game, I'm certainly willing to expand the boundaries a little bit.

Currently, one of the PCs in my Eberron campaign is an elan (XPH) and the other is a goliath (RoS). Modified the history and background a bit on them (goliaths IMC are from Mror Holds, so they don't have to worry about giants), but I think it's worked out well so far. Nobody really wanted to be goblinoids or anything, but if they did and it worked well I'd have allowed them.

So I guess the real question is, Rel, which race will you allow me to play?

Or are you not inviting me? *sad puppy dog eyes*

I'm afraid there isn't even a campaign at this point and I have no firm idea of when there will be. At that point, if I've got room in the game, you're more than welcome to join.

Dang, that's never worked before (but that's another subject [READ:WIFE]).

Thanks, Rel, no pressure, but keep me informed. I've got a new house, you'll remember, that needs new D&D memories instilled in it.

Alright, I'd allow the races of the PH & ECS plus goblins, hobgoblins, orcs, some of the reptile-folk, the XPH races, and any creature the player can give a good storyline to with an appropriate ECL (currently +2 at level 3).

My group consists of a dwarf fighter/(dex-less) rogue, halfling rogue, and a warforged psion.

In the campiagn run by the main DM and me(a dual duty), we allow anything, that the player(s) can handle. But the selection has not been eye-opening, everyone has chosen what they are familiar with, with a few small exceptions, very small.
