what ring to forge?

Make the ring of really coolness.
It'll be expensive though.
Start with something like a high-level ring
of wizardry, and then tack on feather fall,
deflection, other levels of wizardry, spell
storing, elemental resistances...

That way, instead of glowing like a xmas tree
when someone looks at you with detect magic,
you can knock them out from just one item...

One ring to rule them all..

Let me fourth the Ring of Blinking. The Rogue/Shadowdancer in our party has one, and he is a killing machine. He is effectively always sneak attacking, and his enemies rarely hit him. The 50% chance to avoid AoE spells and effects, coupled with his evasion, make him very difficult to kill, even though he has rolled crappily for his hit points.

A killing machine who misses with at least one of his attacks in five (the blinker has a 20% miss chance as well, as you probably know).

Still, this is a fine choice for a character that has no use for a ring of wizardry.

How about a ring of potion storing? Easy way to carry around that much needed potion of something...
