The Grumpy Celt said:
You can accurately recreate the sounds of farting by each and every race physically capable of farting.

Is that actually true, though? I mean, there is a volume limit, right? Is it the limit high enough to contain dragon farts?

I knew this thread was going to be full of farting. :p

Some other suggestions:
Annoy all the other PCs in the party by making it appear that they're snoring horrifically.

Make weird squidging noises when they're riding.

Emit a wail or scream whenever they put their shoes on or draw a weapon.

If some PC is afraid of spiders or insects, making skittering sounds like something is crawling on them during the night. Snakes hissing would work too.

Create a reverberating effect behind your own voice when speaking, or make it sound like you've got an echo.

Make it sound like your mount or familiar is having a conversation with you. Act really secretive, but always speak so that your words can be heard by someone nearby, so they'll wonder what the heck the animal is saying.

Make clock-ticking sounds come out of someone's pack.

Have a herald's trumpet blare every time you walk into an inn. (Hey, wait, I like that one - I may have to use that for my bard... :] )

These are awesome suggestions!

I'm going to use the psionic power Create Sound to make the item. It has two main advantages: it can do everything Ghost Sound does, as well as speech, and it can also be activated by a command thought, rather than a command word.

I figure blowing 3-4k gold on an Eyebrow Ring of Mysterious Funny Noises will be well worth the price of admission. :)
