what superhero movie do you want to see?

Another casting rumor of Fantastic Four:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Fantastic Four: Peyton Reed talked with LatinoReview about the superhero film, whilst Marvel is rumoured to have met with Michael Chiklis (TV's "The Shield") for the role of 'The Thing'.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
News on Elektra movie and Daredevil 2:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elektra & Daredevil 2: The latest issue of UK Empire magazine talked with Mark Steven Johnson about the "Elektra" movie spin-off and a potential "Daredevil" sequel and 'Micah' sent in this description - "He says both projects are definite, with Elektra coming out first, and believes in Elektra (on which he is producing, not directing) succeeding as a movie in its own right. The movie will be set after the events in Daredevil. When asked if Daredevil himself would make an appearance, he replied: "It would be nice if we saw Matt [Murdock] at the end". On Daredevil 2, he says they're still playing with ideas, but believes the natural thing would be to do movie versions of either the classic Guardian Devil or Born Again storylines".

Hiya,

I'd like to see more Batman, The Dark knight, no man's land or year one would be cool

more Superman!

Personally, I'd rather see a big budget animated film staring either of those to done by Timm, Dini and the rest of the crew. A followup to the brilliant Mask of the Phantasm which is easily my fave Batfilm.

With those guys in charge theres a good chance we'll get a near-perfect adaption.

(Matrix knocked Spiderman off as the highest first day opening ever and it looks like it will break Spiderman's Weekend record too, expect a lot of Matrix clone movies in the future as well.)

Not to get technical but Matrix did not break Spiderman's Weekend record. Matrix is the biggeest 4 day opening movie and the biggest R-rated movie, but Spiderman still has the biggest opening weekend record due to the fact that Spiderman was released on friday and Matrix on thursday, and that does play a factor in how the records are kept.

That said, I want a Green Lantern Movie, I don't want a Avengers movie, but seeing Thor, Captain America, all of them in seperate movies I wouldn't mind.

I also want Dr. Strange, that would be awesome, as would a Silver Surfer movie. Silver Surfer would be a lot like Superman since both come from different galaxies and have to live among humans.

I read that Nicholas Cage has signed on for Ghost Rider, now its just up to them to get the director to get set for filming. Superman V is up in the air, as is Batman V.

And for Darkhorse Comics fans, Aliens vs. Predator is a definate GO as far as being filmed. We should be seeing it in the next year, and its being directed by the same guy that did Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat.

In Amazing Spider-Man, we will be seeing Dr. Octopus and Lizard as his villians, and Black Cat will also be in it, and in the third movie we will see Venom and Carnage. I think Venom should be in it alone, but if they start the movie with a bang and get Venom and Spiderman fighting for a good hour before introducing Carnage, I think it will be awesome to watch.

Yea I saw that somewhere where Matrix didn't get the record, I wrote that before the weekend was over and everybody was predicting that it would.

There has been talk of a Silver Surfer movie, our good friend and D&D cool mascot Vin Diesel is pushing to be in it. If Vin as Silver Surfer doesn't scare the crap out of you then that is good news.

I posted the Ghost Rider make up test on page one of this thread, be warned it is scary bad. I am really hoping they are going to work on the make up before they start filming (no flaming head just a orange wig).

There is a Dr Strange movie floating around in development but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Dr Strange would make a good TV show.

My Vote for Comic Book Movies

Hello All,

I would vote for a Thor movie as his comic book character has got ties through different genres. eg Sci-Fi, Super Hero and even DnD. Remember Deities and Demi Gods and in first edition ADnD the mention of Thors hammer in the DMG section of Magic Items. They could even set it in present day and have some dude find the Hammer and then get Thors powers etc....Plus due to him being a God, he would have some truely Awe inspiring powers thanks to todays technology and CGI and also have some pretty cool enemies as well. The scope for this character in movies would be phenominal.

A Superman Vs Doomsday movie would be great fun as you get to see Superman really challenged and eventually "die". They could truncate the several comics describing the death and rise of superman into 1 long movie or even 2 movies. The original battle was very emotional and the second battle very fullfilling and facinateing to see how Doomsday was eventually defeated brought new fans to Superman in general.

As a suggestion I would also vote for a stand alone Wolverine movie to explore his darker side and get rid of his goody two shoes image that he has had thru the recent movies. Also they would need to recruit a better actor, as Hugh Jackman (although talented) is way too tall, thin(not muscular enough) and "pretty" lookin' for a true depiction of Wolverine.

Other comic book hero movies that I would like to see are Green Lantern(very cool effects possibility), Dr. Strange(cool spells and effects), Silver Surfer(Cool Surf Board...hehehe), Ghost Rider(Demonic Fun and Stuff) and Iron Man(Cool Mechanical Gadgetry).

Oh well that was my 2 cents worth....bye for now :D
