The differences twixt BW and MG are huge; the commonalities are mostly in the use of BIGs (which are all BW Beliefs; BW Instincts are actually character macros) and the dice mechanics and scale of skills.
Interesting... does BW use the same "single roll at the start of the scene" concept? Or is that a MG specific invention?

If you mean for setting the needed progress to end a conflict, yes. And it uses the 3 actions plotting, too - but 8 available actions instead of 4.

If you mean resolving a given scene in a single roll, not really; it's more traditional a play loop... but it notes a single roll combat option, called Bloody Versus, for when you don't want to break out the scripting 3 then resolve of fight, but still want to mark some damage...
