What to do with an Immortal cat?

References to me aside, I love this thread! What a fun idea. Now, you just need a party familiar to serve as the immortal cat's arch-enemy....

"He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986. His name is Tibbles the Undying. He is immortal.

There can be only one!"

A whole race of inmortal cats fighting agaisnt each other in a secret war that has lasted for milleniums...

Highcats, the Movie!

They tried to KILL it?

I would destroy their characters instantly and give them a -2 penalty on all rolls (DM granted) in any game they ever played with me.

Ok, so now I have tons of great ideas (from this board and webrpg) and now have to decide between them:

- The cat is the Trickster God, and keeps popping up
- The cat gets awakened and becomes an ally or nemesis of the party
- The cat is the embodiment of an artifact
- The cat is an avatar of Bast
- The cat is a lost "ideal cat" from Bytopia

Help me decide! :-)

Also, in the party's defense for trying to kill it, it was in the middle of being disected and they were trying to put it out of its misery. Of course, they couldn't possibly be bothered to waste any healing magic on a cat. :-)
