What to run at GenCon?

So I'm going to be at GenCon...

So I figure, why not run a game while I'm there? I'm a pretty accomplished DM, I've written a bunch of tasty stuff in my life...

What should I run?

Should I run a CyberPunk d20 game? I'm good at that, heck my CyberPunk site is pretty famous. But then again, it's a CyberPunk 2020 site... should I run CyberPunk 2020 instead?

Or how about classic fantasy in the style of my newest printed book, Necromancer's Legacy? I can easily run a game of that...

Hmmm... or the game I'm running right now is set under the city of Penance, in Oathbound. I can run that, Oathbound is a ton of fun, and it IS a nice self-contained dungeon with fairly unique feel (if you haven't played Oathbound, that is).

You know, whatever you choose to run, I hope you have fun doing it. I played ONE, count them ONE games at GenCon last year. Oh, don't get me wrong; I had an absolute blast at GenCon, but this year I'm definitely vowing to play much, much more this year.

Hmm..just have fun. Do whatever you like. If i could make it to GenCon, id be playin almost the whole time if i could. (its very unlikely i can make it, as im gonna be in wisconsin for a week at the beginning of july...workin at a grocery store doesnt get me much money)

Run the Villains & Vigilantes game you promised me last year.

To the person who stole Hound's V&V books at Gen Con before our game last year: There isn't a level of Hell deep enough for the likes of you.

Well, if you run the CP game, then the person I'm travelling with with want to play. And if you run the Oathbound or Necromancy games, I will want to play. So I suspect that whatever you choose, we'll end up at your table :)

But if I had to pick, I'd say you should run something that ties into an Ambient product. Of the options you mentioned, the Necromancy game probably does that best. But I'm sure you can think of other options.

They all sound good, but the capitalist in me says to run Necromancer's Legacy. Pimp the new product! :D

I've been going to Origins since it's been in Columbus. Until '02, I also only played one, or maybe two, games during the whole con. Last year, though, I made it a point to get my butt out of the dealer room/bed/the food court and get out there and actually PLAY. I played a bunch of non-d20 stuff I'd never looked at before, bought All Flesh Must Be Eaten (rocks!) based on playing a game of it, got a change of scenery from the faces I sit across the table from every week, and pretty much had a great time. Playing more is definitely the way to go. I can't wait until I get to attend my first GenCon this year, now that it's in Indy. Mmm, GenCon...
