Always a possibility. It's a difference of degree, to be sure, so maybe it means different things to different people. I'd say a non-standard fantasy is something quite a bit out there, like Deadlands or Weird War, for instance. Something that's clearly fantasy but has very few to none of the regular, standard D&D tropes. Whereas, standard fantasy with a twist is just standard fantasy with a quirk added to it to add a little spice or flavor.the Jester said:Hmm, what's the difference between standard fantasy with a twist and non-standard fantasy?
I've a feeling that all these categories are murky enough that we all mean different things here.
