Ranger got cooler.
Lot of spell durations got shortened and other changes which I understand for balance reasons, but it made a lot of spells seem less cool (I'm not even talking about power, they seemed to go from interesting to meh in my mind).
Paladins got pokemounts (which I loath).
In the end I just ended up running 3.0 and using the new ranger for the most part.
