What was this movie

I saw it two years ago at the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. The writer was there, introducing the film. He said that it got made when HBO would throw money at any project that came along. He also said that he's sure Julianne Moore cringes any time anyone asks her about it. ;)

I wonder why Julianne would cringe? It was a a great little flick, she was terrific in it and Femme Fatal is a classic kinda role. It's not like the film depended on her taking her clothes off every five min or something.

Well, it was probably just the writer making a joke, since JM has been nominated for an Oscar four times since then. Horror is a genre looked down upon by many; it's exactly the kind of movie a big star might not wish to acknowledge after they've 'made it.' Of course, Cast a Deadly Spell is much better than Jurassic Park II....

She is also in the Tales from the Darkside movie (in the first segment, "Lot 249," with Christian Slater and Steve Buscemi). I'd love to see her in more horror flicks.
