What weapons, classes, races...

The only D&D game I'm involved in at the moment is the campaign Erdenheim's Academy, based in an original campaign setting of mine called Obscura. Since I'm the DM, I'll talk about the party, which is made up of three members:

Member Number 1: Raam, a male half-giant Psychic Warrior 4. He uses a warhammer, and has recently gotten his hands on the Legacy Weapon Bloodcrier's Hammer.

Member Number 2: Tik'tak, a female Thri-Kreen Psion 4. She uses a pair of Greatspears, in a manner resembling that of the Dragoons of Final Fantasy (i.e. jumping really high and falling on them).

Member Number 3: Psyche, a female Maenad Wilder 4. She uses a scythe, and has recently acquired the Legacy Weapon Tempus Extrahit.

There are also 2 NPCs at the moment.

NPC Number 1: Squall Erdenheim, a male human Cleric 4. He uses a spiked chain, and shurikens. He's an odd one.

NPC Number 2: Nuala Aldebaran, a female tiefling Bard 4. She uses a rapier and a sickle.

And some more I plan to rotate in, depending on where the party travels (Squall is the only permanent NPC).

NPC Number 3: Hrosk, a male neanderthal Barbarian/Frostrager. He uses either spiked gauntlets or his bare hands. He's frickin' nuts.

NPC Number 4: Sarak'sano, a female Trader Samurai. She uses a Katana and a Wakizashi.

NPC Number 5: Mujahiid al-Hamas, a male Xeph Soulknife. He uses the Legacy Weapon Mau-Jehe.

NPC Number 6: Urami, a male human Totemist. He uses unarmed strikes.

NPC Number 7: Helencia MacGoran, a female dwarf Fighter. She uses a dwarven waraxe. I heart her.

NPC Number 8: Mask, a male Swashbuckler of indeterminate humanoid race. He uses a rapier. He's going to be the most fun to have interact with the PCs. He's like a mix of Zorro and Inigo Montoya. ^_^

NPC Number 9: Ormus, a male goliath Hulking Hurler. He throws things.

NPC Number 10: Vaaznash, a repentant Balor. He uses the traditional vorpal sword and whip of the Pit Fiends.

And, of course, the significant enemies:

Enemy Number 1: Ahalya, a female elf Psychic Warrior. She uses the Legacy Weapon Desert Wind.

Enemy Number 2: Carmine, a male halfling Halfling Outrider. He uses a pair of Kukri, and a Composite Shortbow.

Enemy Number 3: Orgulla, a female Xeph Cerebremancer. She uses the Legacy Weapon Frostburn's Wrath.

Enemy Number 4: Manaan, a male human Druid. He uses a magic Greatspear.

Enemy Number 5: Serecc the Conquerer, a male half-orc/half-dragon Eye of Gruumsh. He uses the Legacy Weapon Guurgal. After he is defeated once, he is rescued by one or more of the Lords of the Nine, and is appointed the replacement for Dispater, who was recently dispatched.

One of my other campaigns (this one's 'straight' D&D)

Halfling Fighter/Druid (mainly Fighter) --> towards Halfling Outrider (w/ Lances, Longsword, Mighty Composite Shortbow)
Elf Sorceress/Monk --> towards Enlightened Fist (unarmed)
Elf Druid (w/ Scimitar, Sling)
Dwarf Fighter/Cleric (w/ twin Waraxes, Dagger, Heavy Crossbow)

The campaign I play in (city of the spider queen) includes:

* Freddy Rodenberry, halfling rogue 5/fighter 4/peerless archer 3 (me). Aiming to be the ultimate archer, he mainly uses his composite short bow, while in melee, he usually wields a short sword.
* Mistral, human sorcerer 11. I have not seen him wielding weapons much...
* Rigan, half elf ranger/cleric/windwalker 11 (total). He mostly uses his bow and great sword (although to be effective with his greatsword he needs a bull's strength...)
* Valora, priestess of Tyr (11?) is the newest member, but I have not seen her in combat yet.

The party also included Rune, a barbarian/frenzied berserker (10?), now deceased, who used to wield a greataxe. Dré, an NPC fighter 10, with heavy flail and the combat expertise feat chain has helped us in the past as well.

I am the DM of a Middle-Earth campaign (with some modifications to the D&D 3.x rules). The regular party members include:
* male halfling fi/th 3. He is the cook and likes to improvise his weapons: he usually fights with meat knifes (~daggers) and his heavy iron tablespoon...
* male Dunadan paladin 4. He is the archetypical knight with lance and bastard sword.
* male woodelven druid 5. His main weapon is the spear, but he likes to get close and personal using a combination of dirty and wild fighting styles: the grace and elegance of Tolkienian elves is defenitely not his strongest point
* male Dunadan wizard 5 (recently deceased). He mostly used his spells, but in emergencies used his quarterstaff.
