What would you like to see changed for the new setting?

In honor of another thread here... well, actually in honor of the strange-o decision by WotC to put up $100k to find yet another campaign setting. They imply they want it to have the flavor of DL and FR, but what does that mean? Well, it means they don't want something like Ravenloft, Dark Sun, Planescape, Spelljammer or Greyhawk, I guess.

For all those would-be winners out there (no, I am not one of those who will spend hours trying to come up with the perfect sell), here is a poll to help them out. Add feedback, please, to give them extra help.

Your options are mostly mechanical, really. Then again, I suppose that's what FRCS is largely as well, as well as Magic of Faerun, Monsters of Faerun, etc.

But I look for the actual setting more than the mechanics, I guess.

I would like to see a more low magic setting, something like Conan`s world.

I selected more PC races. It doesn't need to be more of them just different ones.

Also had this been multiple choice I would have selected more wilderness. I'd love to see a setting with lots of unexplored areas of a veriety of types.

I voted other. I wouldn't care one whit if the book had absolutely no new rules, classes, races, monsters, magic items, or alternate magic systems. I want cool setting material. Kingdoms at war (or about to be). High politics, intrigue, a vast unexplored wilderness, Detailed cities, Interesting people to interact with.

I voted other too. I want more technology. More stuff like the Sheen. More eldrich horror like Dark Space or Cthulhu, the Alieniest from Tome and Blood, ec...

I want more flying ships like the Weatherlight. More epic campaign setting. Something where the players don't start off 1st level by default.

I was having similar thoughts. I hope WotC lets us see some of the runners-up, when this thing is over.

I refuse to vote on the grounds that WotC is making a mistake and I already HAVE a few settings I like.
