What would you say is the biggest problem with Wizards, Clerics, Druids, and other "Tier 1" Spellcasters?

Had 3.5e continued another couple of years, I'm pretty sure they would have started getting new spells - that being an absolutely trivial way to increase the utility (and thus sales) of a new book.</p><p></p><p>For that reason, I'm inclined to consider <em>every</em> Caster class to have a growing spell list, at least in theory.</p></blockquote><p></p>
