Going for arcane archer? So Dex will be paramount and Int we can let slip a bit compared to a straight Wiz. How about somethng like:

Str: 14 (6 points)
Dex: 17 (13 points) [19 for an elf]
Con: 14 (6 points) [12 for an elf]
Int: 15 (8 points)
Wis: 10 (2 points)
Cha: 8

The You'll have good AC and attack bonuses and prety good HP considering that you want to stay out of melee anyway. You have enough Int for a few extra low level spell slots although your spell DC's won't be so good, but then again an Arcane Archer shouldn't focus on spells with saving throws anyway: play a Diviner and take Enchantment as your opposed school. The 14 Str is so you can get a +2 mighty bow.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, that's pretty good.

Str 16
Dex 14(16, elf)
Con 16(14, elf)
Int 14
Wis 11
Cha 8

You don't need insanely high dex. 16 is pretty good... think of it as always power attacking for 1. Your to-hit modifier will rarely be a problem, and damage will be so it's probably a good idea..

And drop intelligence! Arcane archer doesn't give you spell levels, so you won't get high level spells anyway, and since you won't be high level, your DCs won't matter either. No need to go crazy on intelligence which won't really benefit you much.

This is a good one, but I think too much importance is being put into Int. If you're just going to take wizard levels for the sake of meeting prerequisites, knock the int down to 13 and boost dex to 18. You're only going to be able to cast 1st level spells.

Hmm, I was thinking about Rgr1/Wiz5, some EK levels and then perhaps AA? ;)

Int 14 all the way, you'll love your skillpoints. Con 14 is the minimum if you want to survive with several wizard levels.

hmmm here is what i've decided on. thankies for the help!

Str: 15
Dex: 15 [17 for an elf]
Con: 15 [13 for an elf]
Int: 13
Wis: 10
Cha: 10
