What's a word for a non-adventurer?

Kaodi

Adventurer
Layabouts.
I guess you could call them that - if you want the arms dealer to say, "If you want a weapon you can mine and smelt your own ore then forge your own steel," let alone the people who perform all the other services you depend on, : ) .

Adventurers brave dungeons and heroically liberate items. Layabouts do not.

Tonguez

Adventurer
Surely my Lords know that the Society of our goode nation is comprised of Noblemen, Learned Gentry, Merchants, Peasants and Routiers.
Of these the Routiers are those lowly adventurers who wander about their routes doing mischief and seeking coin.

BookBarbarian

Expert Long Rester
Hmm. Townsfolk, city folk, civilized or settled all rule out nomadic folk.

Folk may still be the best word.

How about Sane? or Respectable?

Edit: For example "A Respectable Barbarian works for the good of the tribe. He doesn't go slacking off with Wizards and their ilk."
