What's changed?

Airwolf

First Post
Greetings all,

Thanks to the ever helpful but never knowing staff of MSN I have not been able to access the internet from my home computer since the middle of January.

So, what has changed since I have been 'blinded' ?

Any good gossip?

Please fill me in, I have lots of catching up to do.

What's changed? Well the most important change is that women in bikinis are no longer considered sexy. What is considered sexy? Piratecat in a bikini. Seriously. Someone did a poll about the issue and Piratecat won by a very large margin. Email him and ask for a picture you can use in your sig. ;)

umm, do you mean what has changed via the d20 world or what has changed via the website? Big things to the prior, a few things to the latter.

What is going on in the WotC world? I haven't gotten any updates in nearly 3 months.

Piratecat in a bikini? My mind is all a-flutter with visions of a three legged cat in a bikini. My skin is beginning to crawl. ;)

There was more "downsizing" at WotC, resulting in the scrapping of a number of projects we the public never got to hear about anyway.

There was also a flurry of news that took place at the GAMA Tradeshow that you can read a recap of by going to the March 2002 news archive and going to the 22nd.

Had d20 Modern been announced yet when you lost contact?

Hoi Airwolf,

Well let me splain, no that would take too long. Let me sum up.

Seems every d20 is trying to by an old TSR/WotC campaign.

First Ravenloft, then Dragonlance, and rumor has it that AEG is looking to purchase Darksun.

Poly has d20 Spelljammer out and d20 Gamma World in a couple of months.

WotC sold Gen Con and cut all ties with Ryan Dancey.

Oh and SKReynolds and Chris Pramas both got laid off.

Did I miss anything?

Chris though still has job just not longer with WotC in any capacity.

I believe that Races of Faerun might be the latest to come out...and that Deities and Demi-gods should be right around the corner.

Oh and I'm really Kid Rock! ;)

As Lucy used to say, "Good grief Charlie Brown!"

That really is too bad about WotC coming apart at the seams. I think I remember someone predicting this when they were bought out though.

Maybe luck favor us and D&D will be sold off to someone who cares.

MR: I don't recall anything about d20 Modern, so I am off to do some research.

Thanks all for the update.

Oh, and its good to see that your still here PC!
