What's good about Direkobold.com

First Post
Direkobold.com posted a new adventure yesterday, and usually they announce it on the messageboards as well. Well, it hasn't been done here, so I thought I'd post something.

The adventure is called Atonement, and it rocks!

Ross describes the adventure as "This adventure concerns the secret fall and possible redemption of a once great paladin."

That really doesn't do it justice. It allows for fantastic role playing opportunities, subduing (but not killing) dangerous foes, and destroying an evil temple. ( So evil in fact, they call it Eviel!)

And best of all, it can be scaled to the level of my players! (Insert maniacal laugh here).

With all the conversations that have been going on about an "other" adventure producing company, I just gotta say, Check out Atonement! It is possibly the best adventure I have read in a VERY long time.

I pretty much love the idea behind Direkobold: type in what level you players are, how many of them there are etc and with the click of a switch it churns out a well-written, interesting module tailored to your group[/b].

Innvoative, smart stuff here.

I wish I used published adventures more, it would be near-invaluable.

Well, the name for one thing! ;)

Plus. yeah...the name! Anyone could've made DireWolf.com.

The only other name that would've rung as cool to me is DireApe, cause, you know, Apes are cool:)

*Blush* Thanks!

I'll pass the your compliments on to Josh. I should also mention that Wil Upchurch is doing a great series of adventures. The latest of which are set in MEG's Bluffside. (His most recent installment should be out on Tuesday of next week.) Certainly the dynamic generation stuff is pretty cool, but without good adventures there wouldn't be much point.

I find that when I'm running a campaign I also very rarely drop in an entire pre-published adventure. But I was always looking for a filler encounter or two or a good map. Personally that was always the biggest value of something like dungeon. But in any event thanks for the compliments, and I look forward to seeing people at GenCon.

BTW I just put up the free "snippet" of Atonement so if anyone out there wants to take a look all you need is a free demo subscription. ;)

::sniff, sniff:: Of course, he does not mention me, his lil' ol' publishing partner... :(

(chuckle), just kidding, gang - DireKobold rocks - 'nuff said! :) And it will only get better as time goes on!!

Oh, and while you are there, please be sure and check out my latest with DireKobold, "The Love of Art: Drawn to Gehenna" - lotsa planar goodness in there, if ya know what I mean! :D

Of course how could I forget Ashy! Love of Art rocks! And I guess he was too bashful to mention that the sequal to Love of Art should be out by the end of the year, so you're definitely going to want to check that out.

I also realized that I forgot to mention that we still have a contest running, generously sponsered by the people over at Mystic Eye, to give away "Bluffside Bundles" to two lucky people who subscribe before GenCon. So if you want in on that you're time is running out.

Anyway lest this get too far into the plug territory, I would just like to thank every body for their support and remind you to stop by our GenCon booth (1441) and say hi!
