Shiba protector interesting but it needs to be human race to qualify for it and I am half giant, which technically has no human blood in it at all. If I recall correctly they are mutated giants from the dark sun world


PS can i ready the same maneuver three times? Sapphire nightmare is all I really need.

They pretty much always count as giants, and never as humans:

Giant: Half-giants are not subject to spells or effects that affect humanoids only, such as charm person or dominate person.

I'll look for it tomorrow if no one's found it by then. But I'm sure that is correct.

What the OP can do, however, is two things.

1) Dip other adept classes. Swordsage and Warblade can both pick this up and ready it from level 1, which gives you two uses before needing to recover. Taking it at level 2+ as a Crusader maneuver via Martial Study feat enables you to ready it as a Crusader maneuver.

2) Get a ring of the diamond mind. A novice ring is only 3000 gp and will let you use the maneuver an extra time each encounter, which will let you use it multiple turns in a row. Arguably, since you can have two ring slots, you could get two novice rings with that maneuver, but I could see a DM putting the breaks on that idea.

It is clarified in the FAQ as well. Should have been mentioned in ToB, but maybe it wasn't as clear as the designers wanted it to be.
