You know what it looks like when a bug hits a windscreen? Well, when a bunch of reindeer and a sleigh with a fat guy and sacks of toys hits a Wall of Force...

That's definately better than wall of fire. It's ok because the reindeer come out cooked, but when it gets to Santa, there's this grease fire explosion that's not too pretty.

On another bent ... would dispel magic (or its greater version) be a good idea? Perhaps making your roof filled with an antimagic field?

Heh. Make an antimagic chimney that has a trigger at the bottom of the fireblace so the field is only active after he comes down. "Let's see you get back up that, fat boy!"
