Ouch! In 2001, this was a chain of three stores with locations in Lawrence and Raytown, as well.
Not sure when the store in Lawrence closed, but I think Battlezone in Raytown closed sometime in late 2005 or early 2006. The last store remaining moved from 95th Street across from Oak Park Mall down to there present location around the same time. In all, the space they now have appears to be about half the size of what they had before.
Tabletop also moved around the same time to a larger space in the Metcalf 103 shops and the new location is a definite improvement. I still drop by there once in a while, but it is a bit out of the way from where I live.
