What's the most you've ever spent on a single RPG-related item?

Mercurius

Legend
Come on, fess up. What's the biggest sack of gold pieces you've dropped for "The Shiny?" This could be miniatures, game books, even game accessories like tables and other set-ups (although if you go with that sort of thing, also include your most expensive game item).

The most I've spent is probably about $150 for the Dragon Titan of Aarklash resin miniature for the Rackham Confrontation game. I don't think I've ever spent over $100 on any other RPG-related item; the closest is probably when I dropped about $85 on a copy of the Wilderlands of High Fantasy box set a couple years ago.

I bought my Wife a chaos space marine army and all the rules for 40k and paints and things. That was painful. Probably about $250 to $300 when all was said and done. Made her happy, though, so it was worth it.

The most ever on one item was the Cthulhu clix I bought at Gencon a few years ago. That was $80 I think. The 2nd most was the AT-AT figure from the Star Wars miniature line at $50. But the interesting part of the whole story was getting the Cthulhu figure home in my luggage. I had to debox it and cram it into my suitcase while not puncturing any of the other stuff I brought home.

On a single item?

Probably on the 3.5Ed and/or 4Ed boxed sets. Otherwise, I simply don't buy expensive gaming products. I even bought most of myna dwarves Corge stuff on deep discount.

I spent $463.99 on the projector that I use exclusively for projecting RPG maps onto the tabletop. Money well spent in my case!

Beyond that, I really haven't shelled out a lot of cash on more conventional gaming stuff. I guess the Pathfinder Core Rulebook is the most expensive conventional gaming item I've purchased.

Well you didnt specify table top but just RPG so here goes

In 1996 i spent $1800 on a pentium 120 just to play Diablo when it came out :)

Single item? Probably H4 - Throne of Bloodstone. I paid $129 for it back before PDFs were available and I was trying to complete my D&D 1E/2E collection.

Non-roleplaying, the most I paid was ~$300 for a copy of the electronic Dark Tower game.

The most I've dropped at one time for game stuff has probably been close to $500, at a Con I went to one year. It was a bunch of 40K stuff (1200 point Eldar army [back when that was $90], Armorcast Shadowsword & Baneblade, Land Raider, Advanced Space Crusade and a fistful of 1E D&D modules).

Biggest single purchase?

World's Largest Dungeon. 100 bucks plus shipping from the States to Japan.

Although, not a single purchase, my Dragon sub was well over 100 bucks a year because I was an international subscriber.
