What's the oldest RPG Product you own?

* Oldest in terms of my first product was the D&D Basic Set with the Erol Otus painting on the cover (Purple Box?)
* Oldest in terms of actual age of the product is a white box of the original three D&D brown books although "Men and Magic" is missing but someone added a copy of the silver-booket "Chainmail" to replace it.

I'm just waiting for Col Playdoh to show up...

"My earliest RPG product is a small note i scribbled back in 74 (or was it 73 i can't remember) 'Note to self: an elven army would kick butt.' At least it was something like that... its hard to write sometimes between all the camels."

The white box is long gone, but I still have a copy of the old Chainmail. Says 2nd edition, tho.

Still have those stupid dice, too. (:

aka. Washu! ^O^

Well, most of my old D&D stuff has gone down that black abyss where a lot of my old stuff went; I still have the GDQ supermodule. I recently bought a used copy of the Basic D&D Rulebook by Tom Moldvay (Red cover, Otis drawing), which is probably my oldest product currently.

I haven't got a clue what I bought that was new, yet old school, but the oldest rpg stuff I have are the old hardbound player's handbook, which I also picked up, strangely enough, at Whyte Knight (small world).

I probably have a set that might be older. I know I have a red box of basic D&D stashed away somewhere as well.

My gamer friends, oh how they love to point and laugh

I ritualistically purge myself of older possessions from time to time. This presents my somewhat-baffled gamer buds with an opportunity to smirk, shake their heads, and snicker whenever I announce my intent to... RENEW.

So, yeah, I plan on sellin' all my crufty, ancient, "TOO [OLD] FOR TV" RPG stuff at a convention next week. Look on, ye mighty, and despair!

On Ye Olde Chopping Blocke:

the 3-3e CRBs
the 5-3e splats
FRCS
2 FR supplements
OA
MotP
PsiHB
Dragon 274 through 297
Dragon annual 2000
Dragon annual 2001
DM screen

Given the 3.5 content confirmation re: Savage Species I think that'll be my first purchase at the convention. :D

RENEW!
