Pathfinder 1E What's with Paizo Publishing?????

Issue #100 is the June issue, right? I would think it would be reasonable to expect the enhancement to appear in early June. Which is today, but just barely. It'll probably be up there this week sometime.

This makes sense if you don't care about your subscribers.

The month on the mag is usually when the mag is avaliable on the newstand. Most subscribers get it up to two weeks before it hits the newstand, this is what they are really paying for.

Now if the web enhancements are not there for them, why subscribe??

You have some valid concerns Ghoti, but remember that Dragon/Dungeon were getting along great well before the internet was invented and I think they could make it just fine without it if it were to suddenly dissappear.

If I were publishing a mag with web enhancements I would wait until well after it hit the newstands IMHO.

If I were publishing a mag with web enhancements I would not, I would have the web enhancement avaliable as I sent out the subscriptions....but then I would also make the web enhancements only avaliable to those who subscribe.

As for the link posted. I disagree with Mr Mearls opinion, but then I would expect this sort of opinion from a writer/publisher.

It is our right to let those who we buy from know when we are not satisified with their work, after all, we are paying for it.

That being said, I do not think it was a pertinant link as I only asked where the web enhancement was as the issue in question said that the web enhancement could be found at www.paizo.com which happens to be untrue at the moment.

He's not saying "don't complain." He's saying there are effective and ineffective ways to complain.

Whats that supposed to mean? If web enhancement was promised, it should be delivered. No ifs or buts. Not even for gaming companies.

by this logic do you assume that someone who is late for work once should be fired?

how about someone late for a date?

these things do happen, even in the best organizations and with the most well meaning people.

Uh, did they make a specific promise as to when they would release the web enhancement? Was one of the stated boons of subscription having early release of web enhancements. I will assume they did not, otherwise someone would have cited it. In which case, what promise have they broken? It seems some are mistaking an obligation they would prefer with what the company is actually responsible for.

I am going to go out on a limb here but....

When one reads an article that states that there is a web enhancement to said article and gives a web address stating that this web enhancement can be found there, that it is so.

When one reads this and goes to the stated web site to find the web enhancement and does not find it, then I do feel that the company has screwed up.

If it is not there then do not say that it is there in the magizine. If you plan to put it up at a later date, then state this in the article.

I would say that this is common sense, but then I have seen that there are many people out there nowadays that lack any common sense.

:confused: To make this a bit more understandable to some.... jasamcarl asked;

Uh, did they make a specific promise as to when they would release the web enhancement?

Uh, yes they did, they said that the web enhancement could be found at their web site. By not puting in any specific date they implied that it was there.
