Piratecat
Sesquipedalian
Not long after our youngest cat taught the dog how to let him in and out of our electronic dog door, he managed to go and get himself hit by a car. This earned him the Indian name "Dances with Chevys." The compound fracture in his front leg never healed, and after months of trying the leg ended up coming off.
It didn't slow him down in the least. Due to the stump (and our reoccurring joke about a little kitty pegleg or hook), we used to refer to him as Piratecat. He was stumping by when I first registered on Eric's site and needed inspiration.
Sadly, he's no longer with us - eaten by coyotes, believe it or not! - but he was a darn good cat. It's nice that his nickname stuck around.
