What does your EN World screen name come from?

Odhanan, Odhë Dh'anan, means "the one who became flesh, mortal" in Eith Leithlan, a language I built for the Enrill, a setting I designed. The actual name is older and appeared first in my mind when I became part of the AncientSites.com website. I became Odhanan Baoisgne there (which is still assumed to be a real pseudonym/alias of mine), and chose "Odhanan" when thinking of Michael Moorcock's "Oladahn", the dwarven giant of Bulgary (in the Hawkmoon saga). Since then, the name took a life of its own, becoming a character that transcends settings, his physical manifestations there, and a pseudonym I used for my creations and various articles here and there.

mine is my First initial (for Sterling) middle ititial and my last name Keener...

It is a hang over from my slashdot account mindset. I dislike the ACs (or Anonymous Cowards) on Slashdot, so my screen name is my name.

I just feel if you are going to say something have the courage to stand behind it.

The recent threads about GenCon have piqued my interest in the actual people that are here on EN World. (That means you! :))

Didn't vote.

Mine is my first initial and last name.

Thanks,
Rich

Mine is my Internet Brand Identity (tm). Anywhere on the net where you see KaosDevice it is me. :)

Cool, how do you do that then?
Could do with this, in the past I've had some one pretend to be me and use my net name, (but not this one, only use this name here)

werkshop

When I first REALLY started using the internet aside from browsing and email, I thought I should have a unique monicker so I would be able to use the same ID everywhere. (For those that know, my first hotmail email account had a 4 digit password!) I remembered an old Alien Workshop banner from a party that I had gone to years prior, so my name became werkshop, replacing the O with an E to show my electronic presence. Some people draw it with the upside-down E, or a lowercase e with a circle around it like @

I guess I've been around, because there are more and more werkshops and werks showing up... This board would take a 4 character ID, so it's werk. Also, my name is Mark, so werk catches my eye the same way mark does, which is convenient.

EDIT: I guess werkshop is my Internet Brand IdentityTM, Thanks KaosDevice!

Mostly just by laying claim to it. ;) I used to own kaosdevice.com but it got snaked out from underneath me for the 2 (seriously two) days I accidentally let my account with the hosting company lapse (due to a case of broke-itus). Those people are scum

Anyway, I was really kidding more then anything. I just wanted to come up with a unique identifier and as far as I know I am the only one that is using it out there.
