Whee, I'm 40! Any advice?

I'm only 35, so perhaps I shouldn't be replying, but I'd like to pass on this piece of advice that has always served me well: lie about your age.

Enjoy the fun :)

My 40th birthday was a heck of a lot of fun and my 40th year led to many happy new, but fairly subtle, changes.

And next year I do the golden anniversary-thang... ;)

By now you have some priorities in your life -- no, not utterly locked down, but some broad goals. You can crow about your hobby and what you have done for it (YAY!) and feel no need to apologize or explain away the matter to non-gamers. You can look for what you would like to do for it, and yourself, over the next 5-10 years -- you'll find yourself thinking in terms of decades and half-decades fairly regularly now.

Overall, at this autumnal moment, reflect on where you have been and glow over what you have accomplished.

Start keeping track of your age by months, instead of years. It seems more fitting, after 40 years of age.

I turn 516 next week. ;)

I'm getting there myself :uhoh:

Life is somewhat as it was at 30 only now I am looking forward to quieter and calmer days (age 50 or 55).

Otherwise...... "Old enough to know better, young enough not to care"
