Wheel of Time optioned

These days, you can't tell the difference. Even Disney animation begin to look more like anime.

But if you're talking about true Asian-made anime ("American Anime? PTUI!!!"), then they have to go overseas.

Probably shouldn't get too excited. Having a book or screen play "optioned" means little more than that book or screen play exists. A phenominal amount of stuff gets optioned every year and 99.99% never goes any further. It's not until you have something starting preproduction that it really indicates there might be something there.

Bah. I've followed the series up until this last book, but nothing has happened since book 4.

"But Biggus, what about -"

No. Nothing has happened since book 4.

"But -"

No.

"But -"

No.

"Um ... um ... RAND GETS NOOKIE!"

OK. That happened. But other than that, nothing has happened since book 4.

I don't know exactly when Jordan stopped seeing the series as a project and started seeing it as a cash cow. But he's milking that franchise harder than WotC milks drow.

Actually I consider 5th book the best in the series, I love Rand`s battle with Rahvin and also one against Lanfear. Actually, book 10 is the only one I don`t like, but it is an interesting setup.

Actually Book 6 is my favorite. A lot happens in book 6. What with Egwene becoming you-know-what (trying to avoid spoilers) and the Battle of Dumai's Wells.

Hell, I would pay full movie theater admission just to see that one battle on the big screen. Ashaman opening gateways every which way, the One Power being flung everywhere, and yes, an enraged Rand/Lews Therin just cutting loose!

With a good directer, it would be mind-blowingly awesome!

Wait, wait, wait! You forgot the all-important Elayne drinks tea and takes a bath scene.

OR

The Elayne has a ritualistic lesbian scene with Aviendha...
Wait a minute, ALL of the Aiel rituals seem to involve getting naked and rubbing a female partner in some way...

Damn, I want to see this movie soon! :D
