Wheel of Time

Nynaeve's spent the last six books getting her attitude knocked around, and she needs it back. The girl from the first few books, who not even Moiraine could push around, was a lot more fun.

Yes. The self doubting is over the top. Actually that is true of all characters, even Mat. He just walked into not 1 but 2 terangreal (sp). Now he's just paralyzed with indecision. :(
At least there's some hope that Perrin will go Medieval on some Aiel in the near future (book 12 or 13 :p ).

I like the series, and I can understand how an epic scope has bogged down in books 7-9. He still managed some closure at each book though. Book 10 (which I'm rereading right now by the way) is just tedious. But my rereading of books is just in search of foreshadowing of futuer events. Not much in this book though :\ So as far as it goes, I will finish reading them (since I'm even more stubborn than rand :D ), but my expectations have dropped noticeably. As an example, I read book 6 in a day in a half of straight reading. I read book 10 in about a week.

I wasn't aware that he was so sensitive to criticism. It does explain a lot though.

This is pleasant to read a thread about WoT where there are more positive than negative comments. I've read several threads and have been reluctant to post. The main reason is that I can't argue with their points against the series......

But I still enjoy it.....

Glad to see I'm not the only one....
