A little while ago I began work on a Pathfinder character generator similar to WotC's Character Builder for 4e. I posted on these forums to get feedback and the response was great. Well, the first thing that comes to mind is 'what advantages does this have over PathForge?'

I looked at your website, specifically at the screenshots. Does your application handle alternate racial traits or class archetypes?

I never used Pathforge, but as far as I can tell Pathforge is an excel spreadsheet template. Character Explorer is a web application. You don't need Excel, or any other spreadsheet software. It will work on any device with a browser (smart phone, tablets, etc.). It is more like WotC's Character Builder for D&D.

The first release will only include rules from the Core Rulebook. After the initial release, character options from other books, starting with the Advanced Player's Guide, will be released. I will try to release a new character option (race, class, archetype, etc.) ever week or two.
