When did the rules forum become so different?

When did the rules forum become the arguing about whether or not changes to rules in 3.5 are a good idea forum? I mean, it used to be debates, sometimes heated about the actual rules and interpretations of them, not debates about whether the rules themselves a good idea. Surely that's more for house rules or general?

The very instant that 3.5 was announced. Heck, most didn't even wait to see what changed before complaining about change.

If it cleans up that frickin' mess, I'll agree with anything.
