When does movement bonus to Jump apply?

So a monk with a 50ft movement rate gets a +8 on jump checks. Does this apply even to standing jumps (where they are not moving at all)? Seem kind of wonky.

Yes, it applies. It may seem wonky, but keep in mind that all jumping is still part of movement. You are in fact moving. So, if you move faster, it stands to reason you just jump better than others. At least it's a reasonable correlation.

I agree. Also, I figure that whether it's conditioning or magic, being a faster runner means having stronger legs. Which certainly should help with jumping.
