When will the Epic Level Handbook be OGC?

There is not enough support for the Epic Level handbook and the fact that it isn't OGC merely makes it worse since no third party company can make source material or adventures for an epic level campaign without being in violation of the d20 license.

So any WotC Insider's or former Insider's (I'm talking to you, AV!) care to comment on when this will be made OGC?

We don't know, however expect a lot of this to start happening after the 3.5 revision is released.

The SRD updates are handled by Andrew (Andy) Smith, whose title the last time I checked was "Publishing Intern"; he has been creating the 3.5E SRD from scratch, and that is due to be released on the official release day of 3.5E, if I remember correctly.

After that, there is this quote from Andy posted on the Gaming Report website:

http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=7270
Material from the Revised Core Rulebooks will be added to the SRD immediately upon the release of the revised books in July.

Wizards would also like to announce our tentative schedule for future SRD releases. We plan to release material from Deities and Demigods and the Epic Level Handbook as Open Content in the near future. There will not be a draft release of this material prior to its inclusion in the SRD.

That was back in February, when all material from the "Gentleman's Agreement" release of the SRD was finally converted/released as the official SRD.

Cheers!

I vote never. ELH could use a nice 3.5 overhaul first.

I do find it rather interesting that several Epic Feats became normal Feats or class ablilities in 3.5e. Mighty Rage, anyone? Greater Weapon Focus and Specialization?

Makes you wonder if WotC realized that some of these so-called "Epic" feats weren't all that epic and yoinked them for the revised PHB.

that would seem the only reasonable answer. Although the way you phrase it makes it sound like you're surprised.

More curious than suprised. I'd love to hear the reasoning from the horses mouth itself.

That makes me wonder if, when the ELH and D&Dg get added to the SRD, some 3.5E conversions will be added directly to the content when they get uploaded. That would be interesting, and quite welcome.
