Where are my Badger Minions?

I was stating out an encounter recently, got all the stuff I needed for the Gnomes, and went looking for the Badger Minions in the MM.

Man, was I disappointed. No badger minions!!

I mean, I just took Goblin cutters, filed off the name, changed the INT level and changed short sword to teeth, and then gave them a "Badger Freakout" encounter power. I shouldn't have had to do that; I was promised Badger Minions!

This "Badger Freakout" power intrigues me...

It's an immediate reaction on seeing and African Snake.

"Badger Freakout"--on the first turn it enters combat the badger goes into a hissing, snarling rage. If it hits, it does a bonus 1d6 damage and slides the target 1 square. Standard, Encounter.

It's not earth-shattering but, it is a level 1 minion.

I've heard that at one point in the playtesting, there was a writeup being bandied about for gnomes that included the following:

Speak With Badgers: Gnomes possess the ability to speak with badgers and other burrowing mammals. This imparts no ability of comprehension on the part of the badger.
