Where can I find Errata for the Spell Compendium

The Title says it all.

The Spell Compendium doesn't seem to have an offical Errata File on the WotC Website.

I know the book has quite a few typos in it.

But, now I am putting the Spells into an OpenOffice/Excel Spreadsheet, along with the PHB Spells, so that I set up a Custom Filter list by Level, School, Spellcaster, as well as Lookups to randomly Generate Wands, Scrolls, and Potions.

If anyone has got a complied list of Boo-Boos, I'd greatly Appreciate being shown the way.

Thanks,

I don't believe there is one as of yet.

There used to be a few threads on changes to spells in the Spell Compendium, but as of yet no errata.

I don't get it. I thought Spell Compendium *was* the errata for all the spells culled from all the other sources and repackaged for us to buy again...

Well,

I guess I'll try to do it myself (If any can point me elsewhere, I'd appreciate it; my Google-Fu is Weak).

First major (As is 'That Can't be Right) Error I've come across (aside from various minor typos):

That would be Ray of Light from page 167.

6th Level Spell; Ray blinds foe for 1d4 rds.

That's a pretty pathetic spell. I was able to trace down the Orginal Ray of Light; It's from the Dragon Annual 5.

There, does pretty much the same thing. Only its FIRST level.

I'm pretty sure that 1st is much more in line than 6th.

You'd think if had the guts to charge people 40 bucks for nothing more than a compiled list of Errata; you go the extra mile make darn sure you don't have to Errata the Errata.

It's been long enough, I doubt any Offical Errata soming out. Wihtout it, I have a hard time recommending this to anyone.

Yes, if only everything could be done perfectly the first time, I wouldn't spend half of my day writing software bug fixes, and we wouldn't need a QA department. ;)

The spell compendium is more than just errata. It's a convenient repository of spells spanning multiple books, so that I don't need to lug around my copy of Complete Divine, Complete Arcane, etc.

It's my second-most-used book these days, after the Player's Handbook. I heart Spell Compendium.

I'm sure when there's sufficient need, there will be an errata.

I would insult you for that statement, but your avatar functions well enough. ;)

Seriously, the book needs errata. Great book, but there are some big errors.

My big problem with the book is that there is no asterisk or note that an entry differs from its original source (other than the list of name changes).

Recitation comes to mind. It used to be +2(or 3) for attacks and saving throws for allies, and -2 for foes. Now it's +2(or 3) for attacks, AC, and saving throws, and no effect on allies. It still lists "Area: All allies and foes within a 60-ft.-radius burst centered on you", though (errata!)
