Where can I find Errata for the Spell Compendium

6th Level Spell; Ray blinds foe for 1d4 rds.

That's a pretty pathetic spell. I was able to trace down the Orginal Ray of Light; It's from the Dragon Annual 5.

There, does pretty much the same thing. Only its FIRST level.

Was there also no saving throw in the Dragon Annual?

But, now I am putting the Spells into an OpenOffice/Excel Spreadsheet, along with the PHB Spells, so that I set up a Custom Filter list by Level, School, Spellcaster, as well as Lookups to randomly Generate Wands, Scrolls, and Potions.
Whatever you get accomplished, I would appreciate you sending me a copy of that spreadsheet. please, please.

But don't copyright laws prevent this from being done? I plan to do the same thing starting Thanksgiving or Christmas break. It is a daunting task though and I wish there was a way to prove that I bought the book and then get access to an electronic version of it legally. That is just so much typing. Once I have the text, I'm fairly good at using search/replace so it doesn't take me too long to get it into the html format that I am ultimately aiming for... as long as the text is in nice paragraph form.

Even re-typing it would be illegal, right?

The flavor parts of the spell descriptions are copyrighted. The dry game mechanics aren't. Depending on how much Vraille Darkfang includes, copyright may not be a problem.

Well, I don't have mine in front of me, but I recall there was at least one spell in its pages that has a name and fluff...but most of the relevant mechanical info was missing...Level, duration, school, etc.

I'd call that a boo-boo deserving correction.

Another Well that's a 1 on Ye Old Spot Check.

Sarcophagus of Stone on Page 180 is lacking something.

Namely a Level.

Don't trying going to the Master List on Wizard's Website either; I just lists it as N/A (Good work on looking that one up guys).

However, in the Back, Under Cleric Spell List, it does say that it is a Level 6 Cleric Spell (Again, to the guys who assembled the master list at the WotC site, way to research that little error).

Thanks to Google, the Spell is from Dragon 313 originally. The Spell is listed as Conjuration (Creation) [Earth]; the SpC revison has dropped the Earth Type (But as it droppd other bits like Level, Duration, Components, Casting Time, etc; You'll forgive me if I wonder about the change being a revision or a Screw-up.

Here is what is missing:

Level: Cleric 6

Components: V, S, M, DF

Casting Time: 1 Std Action

Range: Close (25' +5'/2 lvls)

I spent 40 bucks on Convenience and Revison

If I'm going to pay full Price for Nothing More than Updated Reprints as I would for 100% New Material; I'm going to hold that product up to a much higher standard.

After all, It's already been Edited Once, You think they'd catch most of it the 2nd time around.

Simple fact is:

Revison ain't there & Convenience is Suffering because of that.

One of the biggest disappointments from a 3rd ed WotC book I've bought.
