Where can I find out more about the New Living Eberron campaign?

Thanks man!

This should be interesting. The lack of coherent storyline in LG might be pretty easily supplanted with this :)

They get sent out to people who play. Since I only Dm, I get the DM benefits (a LOT of free miniatures).

The cards basically allow you to do extra stuff. The concept is that the more that you play (and indicate that online) the more options you have open to you. It's the benefits of not being a novice ("Hey, you're stuck with the cleric") or "Hey, you get to play the elite Psion because you're an experienced player."

Since, I've been playing and DM extensively, but not so much in the past year or two..I might be stuck with the cleric :|

Our HOME group plans on playing this for more than two reasons:
1. The adventures are pre-written (less work and DM's can tag-team and play on the off nights). This is a HUGE issue, because we all have jobs and lives we need to live out when we're not gaming (unlike the good ol' days when we could just create our own adventures and not have social services taking our kids away for neglect..;)
2. If we miss any adventures at home, we can head out to a game day to play.
3. There are consistent rules (we like that as players)
4. They allow psionics (unlike the 'other' campaigns)
5. You can home-play big campaigns
6. ..there's no Arcana Unearthed worldwide campaign
7. We can share our experiences with lots of other people world-wide
8. Level advancement is consistent
etc.

While I too am really looking forward to the Living Eberron campaign, why are you slamming Living Greyhawk?

The two complaints you mentioned above are completely unfounded and honestly sound like they come from someone who hasn't had much experience with the game.

For one thing, LG doesn't just have high-level play, it still has multitudes of adventures for all levels. So there is no reaching the 'dregs' of high level play. You can always just start out with a new first level character if you want anyway.

For another, there IS a continuous storyline in LG. Maybe not in core, but the vast majority of Regions have metaplots that run for a year or through years. I know Dyvers does. Not all adventures follow the plot, but not all of them should.

If you thing LG is really like this, then I don't think you'll like Living Eberron too much. You'll have the same complaints with it.

While I sympathize with some of your later comments, I do know who Emrikol is, and I can assure you that he has had VERY extensive experience with LG, as a player, DM, writer, and Triad member. :P

I hope I didn't get you too worked up. As a Greyhawker, I have learned how to poke fun at other campaigns, including Greyhawk :)

Now I stand in the shoes of someone who wants to be at the beginning of the new Eberron campaign. Hope you'll join us.
