Both adventures were written by Clark Peterson, of Necromancer Games, too. I haven't read them yet, but I imagine they're up to the usual level of NG mayhem (insert MUHAHAHAHAHA here).

This is true Gro

But the Serpent Amphora is written by JD Carriker also known here as Oakthorne. Course he's busy trying to get it all done, so he can do the entire mega-adventure for SL.

Oh, and as an aside, be careful with the Serpent Amphora. It can be a heck of a killer; I occasionally get emails from people (including my stable of playtesters for such things) that lament the fact that it wiped out the party entire.

Two pieces of advice:

Make sure someone in the party is a competent Listener and Spotter. This will greatly increase chances of survival.

Don't be afraid to award XPs after encounters rather than at the end of the full adventure, especially if you use the random encounter chart for the overland travel portion of the adventure. Those who did so reported overall better results. ;)

Yeah folks...

I'm not sure I'd run this for first time SLer's BUT certainly maybe after I ran say Shrine of Madness. Certainly wouldn't be THAT tough for them but it would prove VERY challenging. :) You did a good job though JD/Oaky. It's STILL one hellu a module!
