I would swear that I recently saw two cool feats and Now I can't remember where they were.
Both can only be taken at first level.
The first feat granted a first-level arcane spellcaster a second-level spell once per day and a bonus to some skill, if memory serves. Once the character reaches the point where she can cast second-level spells, this simply becomes a bonus spell-slot.
The second feat doubles the number of spells in a wizard's starting spellbook from three to six, and lets him add four new spells, rather than just two, each time he levels. It also grants a small skill bonus.
I thought this was at te WotC site in an online preview for Complete Arcane, but here I sit with the copy of CA I got for Christmas, and I don't see either feat.
Did I drink bad eggnog, or did these feats appear somewhere?
